“If only this was around when we were in high school…”
After a cracker year at Wynnum Fringe 2021, our Youth Ambassador Program is BACK with a bang as creative young people from across the wider Bayside connect, learn and gain real-world experience working on a festival celebrating arts and culture.
Designed as a compliment to any school-based Arts education with accessible industry experience in a supportive environment, Wynnum Fringe Youth Ambassadors gain first-hand experience (and insider info) on how a Festival is built, run and marketed, while making like-minded friends and having a blast!
Wynnum Fringe Youth Ambassadors Program aims to:
• Engage local young people in creative process and practice
• Create a local network of young people who feel a sense of belonging and community from gathering and working together through engagement and collaboration
• Connect local arts workers to the project to provide mentoring, guidance and opportunities for work experience for young people
• Support the work of local school Creative Industries departments by providing space and opportunity outside the classroom for the holistic cultural development of students
