THE BAMBOOS – PERFORMING at ROCK THE BAY 2023

Howzat! The gap year is over! The Bayside success story, ROCK THE BAY returns to close this year’s Festival in George Clayton Park! An outdoor stage, bars, a ferris wheel, food, activities for young humans, and chart-topping music all in one place – the Wynnum Fringe Garden.

It’s a Summer Love cocktail of Rock, Pop, Funk, Soul & Disco not to be missed this December. We will fly, way up high as the OG King & Queen of Pop, Daryl Braithwaite and Marcia Hines reunite for the first time in 30 years to headline ROCK THE BAY with international Funk & Soul heroes The Bamboos, local rock legend Hope D, as well as hosts Loretta Ryan from ABC Brisbane and Festival Director Tom Oliver who will duet some dance floor anthems with Marcia Hines – the first time since co-starring in global phenomenon VELVET in 2017.

The Bamboos, led by guitarist/ singer Lance Furguson and lead singer Kylie Auldist are the 9 piece band from Melbourne who are hailed “about as good as it gets” by Mark Lamar on BBC Radio in the UK and “bad mother-****ers!” by Chicago Soul Legend Syl Johnson. New Orleans R&B legend Eddie Bo confirms “they’ve got it…” which means that Rock The Bay 2023 seems to have all the ingredients for a perfect combination of well known songs, good grooves, high energy performances and a picturesque seaside location. The only way to finish 2023.

This is an all ages licensed event with the biggest line up to ever hit Brisbane’s Bayside. Blast the group chat and book in your team now. Do not miss this!!
