ROCK THE BAY

Hooooowzat! The gap year is over!

The beloved Bayside success story, ROCK THE BAY returns to close this year’s Festival in George Clayton Park! An outdoor stage, big screen, bars, rides, a VIP area, food, games for young people and chart-topping music all in one place – the Wynnum Fringe Garden.

This is the must see concert experience of the season. A Summer Love cocktail of Rock, Pop, Funk, Soul & Disco where Aussie legends meet local heroes. Mum, Dad – get the fam together. This is an all-in-day-out! We will fly, way up high as the OG King & Queen of Pop, Daryl Braithwaite and Marcia Hines reunite for the first time in 30 years to headline ROCK THE BAY with international Funk & Soul heroes The Bamboos and Brisbane’s brightest queer breakout artist since The Veronicas – indie rocker Hope D. Hosting the day will be Loretta Ryan from ABC Brisbane and Festival Director Tom Oliver who will duet some dance floor anthems with Marcia Hines – the first time since co-starring in global phenomenon VELVET in 2017.

Thanks to Bartons Bayside, we present the Bartons Rock Royalty Lounge ticket, a VIP zone which includes a private viewing area, drink on arrival,  exclusive access to the air conditioned Spiegeltent with a never ending grazing table, private premium bar and private toilets.

Still not enough? If you bring the kids, our Mini Fringe & First Nations Zone will stay open for activities throughout the day.

Hits like The Horses, Summer Love, Howzat, As The Days Go By, Love Songs, One Summer, You, Disco Inferno, Your Love Still Brings Me To My Knees, If You Could Read My Mind, Ride On Time, Hard Up, The Wilhelm Scream, On The Sly, Tomorrow, I Don’t Wanna Stop, Second, and many more will ignite the stage and make this an afternoon to remember. Dayl Braithwate has authorised the use of blow up horses, so permission granted to sing loud, dance and ride into the best party of 2023 with your pals!
